This blog post is part of the Week of Self-Love hosted by Anne-Sophie Reinhardt of annesophie.us.
Her prompt was to write about self care or self love… for me this fits perfectly with my Friday Foto Feature – photography is one way that I reconnect with myself. It is an art that I practice purely for the pleasure it brings me and, for the most part, I am able to loosen both my perfectionistic reins and my people pleasing tethers and simply shoot what *I* like.
So I present to you my pictures of a rose… I was fascinated with the colours and took many many photos. During my little photo shoot, I became absorbed in the moment, moving gently into “flow”. The whole process left me feeling calm and mindfully accepting of the tenuous nature of my peace.
I’m a little late with this one, but I thought a colourful display would make a good end to the mindful colour series. These are from the Pride Parade in my city a few weeks ago and so are filled with rainbows!
In case you missed them, here are links to the others in this series:
This is my last week of mindful colours for my Friday Fotos Feature and I’m ending off with a proliferation of pink!
I had to be extra mindful to notice purple for this week’s Friday Fotos Feature – it’s a less common colour but I managed to notice a few instances…
Ah blue – a lovely colour to be mindful of in my Friday Fotos Feature.
Though I am not sure I was particularly mindful during the week, my mindful colour of green was easy to find when I did. So enjoy some greens for my Friday Fotos Feature. 😉
For my Friday Foto Feature, this week’s mindful colour was yellow… proceed with caution 🙂
